2025 Indiana Blue Ribbon School SLDM is honored to be in the first cohort of schools to be recognized by the State of Indiana for Excellence and Innovation in Education. The Indiana Blue Ribbon School Award is the highest honor that a school in Indiana can receive. In 2025, 11 out of about 3000 schools were given this honor.This award is an external recognition of what the SLDM school community already knows. Every day, we live our mission: SLDM is a Catholic school committed to the education of the whole child through discipleship and academic excellence. We are dedicated to becoming the best versions of ourselves as we learn to know, love, and serve Christ in the world. Parents, staff, and students work hard to ensure that our children are educated in a Christ-centered school where love for Jesus is the foundation of all we do and achieve.
Earning the Blue Ribbon designation means that our school is being recognized as a model of effective teaching and learning. It tells our families, our community, and our students that the work we are doing together truly matters. It also serves as a marker of accountability and continuous improvement—being a Blue Ribbon School doesn’t mean we rest on our success, but that we continue to strive for excellence in every classroom. Earning the Blue Ribbon Award is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our entire school and parish community. It recognizes not only strong academic achievement, but also the culture of caring, support, and continuous improvement that defines our school.
2013 National Blue Ribbon SchoolSt. Louis de Montfort was named a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School for being “ranked among the highest performing schools in the country as measured by nationally normed assessments in both reading and mathematics.” SLDM was one of the first two schools in the Diocese of Lafayette to be named a National Blue Ribbon School.
Four Star SchoolSt. Louis de Montfort has been named a Four Star School by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). In order to receive this designation, a school must be in the top 25th percentile of schools in two ISTEP-based categories. Additionally, a qualifying school must have earned an "A" in the state's accountability system and be accredited by the IDOE. A total of 281 schools received the award.
2011 Fishers Business of the YearSt. Louis de Montfort Catholic School received the honor of being named the 2011 Fishers Business of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.
