A gift from your IRA is a meaningful and tax‑efficient way to support the mission of St. Louis de Montfort Parish. If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to the parish.

How to Make an IRA Gift (QCD)

1. Contact your IRA custodian
   Reach out to your IRA custodian and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution.
2. Request a direct transfer
   The gift must be sent directly from your IRA to the parish in order to qualify as a QCD.
3. Designate your gift
   If your IRA custodian allows, please include a note indicating how you would like your gift to be used (for example, General Support, CMA, or Capital Campaign).
4. Confirm your distribution
   Your IRA custodian will issue the payment directly to the parish and provide you with documentation for your record.
