1978 — St. Louis de Montfort Parish was established in response to the steady growth of Hamilton County.
1980 — Our first church building was completed, welcoming an initial membership of 160 families.
1988 — Craig Willy Hall was built, adding 4,000 square feet of gathering space for parish life and community events.
1993 — Parishioner John Burkhard gifted the belltower in memory of his wife, Berly, becoming a visible landmark of our parish grounds.
1994 — The Youth Ministry Center opened, providing 10,000 square feet dedicated to classroom and assembly space for faith formation.
1995 — The Perpetual Adoration Chapel, founded by Fr. Donald Eder, opened its doors, inviting parishioners into continuous prayer and devotion.
1999 — On August 15, the dream of a parochial school came to life with the groundbreaking for St. Louis de Montfort Catholic School.
2000 — Our parish school began its inaugural year on August 17, serving students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
2003 — Celebrating our Silver Jubilee, the parish opened its food pantry, expanding our outreach to those in need.
2008 — A memorial garden and prayer labyrinth were established on our grounds, creating spaces for reflection and remembrance.
2009 — The Faith Community of St. Louis de Montfort was honored by the Diocese of Lafayette as a Stewardship Parish of Distinction.
2010 — The Sanctuary was renovated to enrich our worship experience, and a new playground was added for our youngest parishioners.
2011 — A new altar, designed and built by Associate Pastor Fr. John Kiefer and parishioner Steve Grusak, was dedicated by Bishop Timothy Doherty on April 7. New liturgical furnishings, including the ambo, chair, ambry, sacramental vessels, and candles, were added to complement the altar.
2011 — St. Louis de Montfort Catholic School was named Business of the Year by the Fishers Chamber of Commerce.
2012 — The school earned an A letter grade from the Indiana Department of Education, and the Ministry Center was renovated and updated.
2013 — The school was recognized as an Indiana Four Star School for the 2012–2013 school year and honored as a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School.
Today — As we look to the future, we launch our campaign to build a new church to accommodate our flourishing parish family and the generations yet to come.
Through every addition, milestone, and ministry, our parish has continued to grow as a welcoming Catholic community rooted in prayer, stewardship, service, and sacramental life.
