If you were the patron saint of something, what would it be?
I'd hope to be remembered as the Patron Saint of Authenticity. As G.K. Chesterton once wrote, "Therefore it is the paradox of history that each generation is converted by the saint who contradicts it most.”. In a world so full of online services, virtual reality, social networks, and artificial intelligence, I hope to be an agent of authenticity and a reminder that, above all, the Word became Flesh to dwell among us.
Who is your favorite saint, and why? Answering this is like being asked to pick your favorite child... So many great answers, but if I have to pick, right now it'd have to be St Therese of Lisieux. A Woman of incredible tenacity, humility, and drive to love. The youngest doctor of the Church who has become a great spiritual friend and intercessor for me over the years. Her "Little Way" continues to convict and inspire me to do all that I do with Love!
What do you love about working for the Church/SLDM? What I love most about our parish family is the hunger for the Lord and openness to the Spirit. There is nowhere else I have seen that has been quite like St Louis De Montfort; the Lord has and continues to pour out on us richly and abundantly, so that our "cup runneth over". It is a joy, honor, blessing, and privilege to serve the Lord and each other here!
